A fourteen‑year‑old girl named Olivia is trapped in a roaring housefire, smoke swallowing every room as the structure collapses around her. When firefighters arrive, they deploy their newest experimental responder - a satyress rescue robot, a horned, hooved, hyper‑agile machine built to navigate disasters no human could survive.
The robot breaches the burning home, locating Olivia moments before the ceiling gives way. But just as it lifts her into its arms, reality buckles. The floor ripples like liquid. The walls stretch into impossible angles. And both girl and machine noclip straight out of the world.
They fall into the Backrooms - an endless maze of humming lights, stained carpet, and yellow wallpaper that seems to breathe. The satyress robot's sensors malfunction in the non‑Euclidean geometry, and Aria's panic rises as distant footsteps echo through the halls. The entities here are wrong - too tall, too fast, too hungry - and they've already noticed the newcomers.
Together, Olivia and the satyress robot must navigate shifting levels, decode cryptic markings left by previous lost wanderers, and survive creatures that stalk the fluorescent dark. The robot was built to save lives, not to understand fear - but in the Backrooms, it begins to learn both.
As the pair grow unexpectedly bonded, they uncover a terrifying truth: the fire wasn't an accident, and the noclip event wasn't random. Someone - or something - wanted them here.
And the only way out may require Olivia to trust the robot more than any human she's ever known.
