In a world of magic and mayhem, I serve a god who's kind of an annoying jerk. But whatever, I just have to follow his stupid breadcrumb quest and maybe he'll let me stop with this "Favor" ~~~ This is my first Wattpad story. Constructive criticism is valued. Kharon, an exile from the North, wanders through deserts, ancient cities, and foreign lands with a greatsword on his back, taking on dangerous jobs for coin, drink, and survival. He has never considered himself a hero, nor does he seek to save others. He trusts only the sword in his hand-and believes that everyone must pay the price for the path they choose.

A perfectly normal day for Caroline Suthers was interrupted when savages attacked her small hometown. Determined to save her little sister, Caroline rushed through town, just to run smack into one of the savages. Sword dripping in blood, he pulled her close before tossing her over his shoulder and taking her. Caroline, along with several other women, were taken captive and brought to their village, miles and miles away from her home. But Caroline was different. Visions showed Caroline's strings of fate intertwining with the tribe's and Hassan's, the savage that kidnapped her. No one knew why until another tribe destroyed their own, leaving Caroline and Hassan as the only survivors. Read along as they struggle to survive, avenge the tribe, and fall in love. Excerpt: He ran his hand up my arm. "There's something about you," he continued. My heart felt like it was about to burst from my chest and, even in the cool fall air, I still felt my body flush with heat. I had expected him by this time in the year to have something on, but he was still shirtless and I could see the muscles and the strength he exhibited. A part of me wanted to sink into his arms. My breath caught in my throat as he ran his hand through my long wavy hair. He leaned closer to me as his hand came up to cup my face and my hand reached up to meet his as he held my face in his hand. He leaned down and whispered, "You're the one I want." He pressed his lips against mine and I kissed him back as he wrapped his arm around my waist to pull me closer. An orphan whose lineage will be a burden that will cause such pain and grief for him along his travels. Even those that truly love him, will unfortunately meet their doom. The lonesome warrior will eventually stubble upon a group of strangers that will journey along side him. Creatures, demons, cults, and an ever encroaching Great War will challenge every member of the party. What will come of these heroes, heroines, or even perhaps villains? Have the gods forsaken this world or will they guide this group through trials and tragedies to conquer an elusive evil that lurks in the shadows? This is a story I have been playing around with and a grand majority of this story is based upon a (homebrew) Dungeon and Dragons campaign my friends and I are currently playing. The first few chapters is solely backstory of my DnD character, Dardarian, I would have included my friends' characters; though, that may change in the future.
