◦◦◦ ONGOING ◦◦◦ Leah Kelly, the single child of the Kelly household living in a small and vast town in the woods would never expect to fall in love with an animal. Her Father declined any animal living in their semi-wealthy household and her Mother was allergic to felines and didn't have any liking to rodents or reptilians. It wasn't until a few weeks after her thirteenth birthday that Leah found something that changed her mind completely, a dog.

A little ways down the sidewalk by a tad bit, I heard the noise I didn't usually hear but every human could recognize. A barking dog.
Sudden curiosity rose in my chest and for the first time in long while, I ran. It was more of a jog than a full on sprint, but it got me to where I wanted to be. I passed a stone sign outside a large cluster of trailers that read 'Twilight Grove Trailer Park' and poked my head inside the opened area of the fence where a single road centered the whole way down the stretch until the very back fence camouflaged by shrub and trees where it made a sharp left turn.
But not interested in the layout of the park, I found what I was looking for. About five or six homes into the park, a lean dog was chained in the yard by a chain connecting to a collar, seemingly maroon, that was tightly tied around its throat. But at the other end of the chain was a triangular screw twisted tightly into the ground with a dog dug hole at it's far right as if the dog connected to it had tried to escape more than enough times, but failed.
