Rebecca Rocher is the badass heiress who just got back in track, after loosing so much and succumbing to drugs and alcohol she is finnally out of it all. However it all follows her and tempts her once in a while so to make sure that she stays out of it her body guard and father like figure takes her out of the spot light. This idea was working well, she had not been in the mouths or front pages of anything in a long while; until she meets the Cooper boys. These boys are not the bad ass type, they are sort of players but that is normal when you are in a famous band. She ends up getting close with them and even going on tour with them. But we all know that in a tour with a pretty model type heiress and hot super star boys there is always going to be something going on...

With a ferocity I have never seen before Jared turns to me, placing his palms against my cheeks and crushing his lips against mine. And it feels like...finally. Finally. My hands rest on his bare back, careful to avoid his wound and I feel Jared melt into me. Almost like his body was made for mine.

“Leah Morgan, you must make a choice.” His deep voice was menacing. “You can’t expect me to make that choice.” I answered quietly, well aware of the council around us. “But I do.” He said. “Then you know the answer.” I said looking around the room at everyone. They couldn’t believe what was going on. "Then so be it, daughter. You are sentenced to death.” ~Leah Morgan has been living a lie. But on her seventeenth birthday, that lie, created to protect her, falls apart, and Leah is thrown into a world full of monsters, liars, and deceivers. Leah is thrown into a world she never knew existed or that she belonged to it, and that it might need her, almost as much as she needs it.

This is my unedited (as in I have not received critique from my teacher to edit it for a final, polished copy) IEW/EIL American Literature essay, modeled on Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography. The prompt, according to my textbook- "Write a chapter in your personal autobiography in the style of Benjamin Franklin. Tell of an event or period of time in which you grew or were transformed in some way. Be sure to include humor and at least a few wise sayings." So if you read this, I recommend reading the first chapter or so of his autobiography in order to grasp the context of this essay and better understand it. Critique is more than welcome!
