A bird flying in the sky. A bird nesting on a branch. A bird inside a cage. They are all birds. So, what's the difference? Why does it feel like I'm so different? Why does it feel like I'm lacking something? This is a short story with random update times. If there are any stories with coincidentally similar plots, it's a coincidence. Yeah, I don't know. This is just me. Most impressive ranks: #15- cage #5- birdcage

A BL story based on two male birds, one stripped of his freedom as the other flies freely through the ski with no worries. Yearning for something exciting the bird flew to a manor, the window was opened and there he saw another bird, his wings clipped and his feet chained on the cage ground. He was on his knees, his head down, yearning to feel something, that something would be freedom.

POP QUIZ: Which of the following may mean you'll adore or connect with this poetry collection? A. You are scared of sharing your work but love to write. B. You adore birds and all things nature at first sight. C. You've too faced a scary health appointment. D. You are fond of our complex galaxy and find rhyming words never to be a disappointment! E. Once lost a dear friend, sought friendship, or fell accidentally in love. F. Agreed to all of the above. Here is a collection of poems, rhymes, and messages to inspire or relate to. My pen name is Vevna Forrow, though my real name is Jasveen (Jazz) Marie Kaur (Core) which is quite common outside of the USA. I am a self-taught cartoonist, IT Professional, nerd, and writer. My poems spawn from my heart, feelings, and experiences over the course of 26 years. I wrote most of these poems within a few hours on the fly, but nearly each one has been sitting in my mind unshared for such a long time, so here we are...I hope you enjoy the read. Some of them are humorous whereas others are dark. My inspiration comes from my love of the 1999 film October Sky. I have also been inspired by Shel Silverstein, Carl Hiaasen, Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, and Emily Dickinson. I often enjoy rewatching the 2011 Big Year film and Birdman of Alcatraz (1962) as well. I do love to rhyme and I truly thank you for your time! Copyright and credit details of all poems: © Vevna Forrow (Jazz Marie Kaur) 2021 who hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this evocative and melancholic poem, the poet paints the portrait of a young woman trapped in the invisible confines of life's expectations and emotional burdens. Using the powerful metaphor of a birdcage, the poem explores themes of isolation, lost identity, and quiet resilience. Through haunting imagery and lyrical language, it traces her journey from despair to a flicker of hope, capturing the universal longing for freedom, self-discovery, and healing. A delicate blend of sorrow and strength, the poem speaks to anyone who has ever felt caged by circumstance but still dares to dream of liberation.
