Black writers of Wattpad! I love the talent that so many of you display. The heart, humor, tragedy, and innovative news of your stories. Our stories. However, if you write on here at all, you know how difficult it can be to get your stories noticed and off the ground. Sometimes waiting for the one comment of upvote feels like waiting for a drop of rain in the desert. That in mind, I want to open a space for us to come together as a community. o relate to each other, uplift our stories, and share them. To normalize brown-skin in all it's wonderful shades, to celebrate our beautiful and unique features, and to love writing tales that reflect our lived experiences. A Beautifully Black Black History Month Poem!

There aren't a lot of people I can relate to in my community so I'm writing this book to reach out and see if there are people who I can relate with here on Wattpad

This is actually a poem on a darker skin girl who has to to deal with being dark in today's society.

"You're probably one of the typical black guys, who are into mixed girls and non-black girls. No need for me to waste my time" I said shrugging and grabbing my books ready to leave the conversation "Nah baby, you got me all wrong" he replies, a small smile growing on his face showing his white teeth "i love me some dark girls"
