Why don't we treat eachother like we do matter to one another? We're never going to matter to anybody until we matter to one another first! THINK ABOUT IT!!!!

Cut From A Different Cloth Written by Malik Curtis I'm cut from a different cloth but the love is what I captured The love is lost now were sucking up to the masses lost our leaders now we consuming false chapters I once called myself African but then I heard laughter I started making jokes calling my friends The African booty scratcher It was funny back then but now it's a disaster I finally came back and realized this isn't home and were caught in tight capsule This isn't life and I swear it's not natural We was brought from the boat 400 years ago Our ancestors were blind and they didn't know where to go We were shipped from plantations A lot of masters were dangerous and straight rapist Changed our names and then we lost our language New slaves names on slave printed on slave papers My last name isn't really Curtis but it was worded You remember the light skin vs dark skin Blended in movies Lion King Lion king that was a good ass movie but see Mufasa was the light then scar was the Black A light skin vs darks kin mentality trapped in that I bet a lot of you 90s babies never realized that How if you look at black cat and it was supposed to be bad Brainwashed from the master were not thinking with our jawn Jail is the new plantation and slavery is still going on I write these verses till the morn I gotta be the rebirth of impactful legends I'm not the greatest in school but I am intelligent Preaching to the youth that's blind to these words trust me they are relevant it has to be acknowledged I don't know the tribe i'm from but I am polished I'm taught from great minds I'm taught from great spirits My roots are from Africa and I don't give a fuck if you don't want to hear it I'm cut from a different cloth, i'm cut from a different cloth.
