I absolutely love the Shadowhunter book series and have been wanting to write a story based on Kit/Ty. They won't be Shadowhunters in this but it will be an AU where they live ordinary lives. Ages have also been changed as well. 17 year old Kit Rook has lived a life on the street involved in nothing but scams and scandals but when James and Lucie Herondale summon him one night he is taken to Blackthorn Manor where he grows close with 17 year old Tiberius Blackthorn a quiet, shy young boy with a love for music and Sherlock Holmes. Ty is grieving at the loss of his twin sister Livvy but having Kit in his life suddenly makes him feel like living again. However, as time drew on the Dragon Nights became lax in their duties and left the window of opportunity for a strike. Out of nowhere the new dictator appeared, slaughtering the Dragon Knights and their dragon companions and seizing Rythos and then all of Chicias. With the Knights gone, and most of the dragon population seemingly wiped out nearly all hope was lost. However, a small group of youths and their young dragons have banded together to form the New Dragon Knights, known as the NDK. Their aim is simple: To liberate the people from the tyrant's rule. The question is though, can they keep themselves alive with all of Hyro's army on their tails? And can they save the crumbling empire, or will they fall like their predecessors?
