Reki felt guilty for leaving Langa that way. If only his jealousy hadn't overcome him, Reki might have been able to tell Langa. He would've been able to tell him that he was leaving. He would've been able to tell him that they might not see each other again. Langa couldn't believe Reki had felt Okinawa without saying a word to him. If only he had the courage to talk to him before he left. Maybe, if Langa had stepped up and ended the fight, Reki would've told him. Maybe, Reki would've never left in the first place. The "if only's" the two teen boys held when thinking about each other built up day by day. Those thoughts circling through their head constantly. The only things they wish they could've done before separating for the final time.

Short story told in poems, about a girl that got bullied. She never stood up for herself or did anything so they would leave her alone, because her parents taught her to remain silent. These poems are not at all random. They all have such a meaning; such a story! Poetry has no rules, so these don't all sound by-the-book poetic. But, really, this is just a diary of indirect words, but direct thoughts, taken from my mind, as well as my heart.

Black Rose is a student at Shadow High School. She's your typical nerd/goth chick. She goes through day after day of pushing, shoving, name calling, beating, and stealing from her peers at the school. At home her dad is almost never there because he is in the army and her mom died when she was little. She had twin brother and sister who died at birth and an adopted sister Tawny. Flame Spark is the biggest guy at Shadow High School and football captain. The whole school loves him including the teachers. He's always found it particularly amusing to pick on Black, the girl who sits in the back of class with her books and chokers listening to the teacher with a single ear bud in. At home, things change. His almost constantly drunk dad is abusive and his mother is helpless. He's afraid of her getting hurt because he can't stand up to his biggest fear, his father. He shares a room with his eight year old sister Squirrel and she almost never leaves the room, only for classes at Shadow Lower Elementary. Spider Leap is a cross country runner at Shadow High School. He's friends with pretty much everyone and is almost always gone for races. His mom died and his dad took off so he lives with his aunt who is always shut up in her room, mourning his dead uncle. Sometimes he can hear her talking to him. He practically raises his little brother Night. He does good in school and has a massive crush on the Student Body President Soot. Soot is the friendly Student Body President. She knows everyone and makes a point to talk to them and goes out of her way to be nice. She is in every club at school, debate, academic team, Student council, or any other club you could think of. Her closest friend is Black and she has often tried to get her to try out for the academic team or debate. Her parents expect a lot out of her and it seems all her electives and straight As mean nothing. WARNING! Mature content! Lots of death and some self harm. No smut. *cough* Sootpaw *cough*

This is no way to live. This is no way to survive. You either get out of this now Or die trying to balance on the ice.

Inside this book, is every poem I've written in the past year. Which people apparently love to read. Give it a try if you want, but this is how i survived most days and it means a lot to me. Inside you'll read poems I've shown to friends and poems I have only shown one other person. I'm putting my heart (literally. no seriously literally don't drop it now) in your hands.

All she ever wanted was normalcy: her parents, her best friend, Aidan, and school. He ruined everything. When he insists what he did was a gift, Treasure just wants him to stop tinseling. With everything going on she doesn’t need things talked up, she needs reality. While she fights to keep it together an enemy fights to tear it all apart. Her life isn’t the only one at stake. New rules are in play, and they have nothing against killing. Treasure may not like the curse, or the boy who cursed her, but she’s going to have to work with them if she intends to survive.

Lies take over me. I thought I loved Mike, and I thought Mike loved me, yet it was all lies. Lies, lies, lies. Then I thought I feel in love with James but, he beat me. I am I the reason I cant love?
