This is a blog written in Steven Easton's point-of-view. Steven's aunt, Jen offered him a teaching job up in Iowa because she is the principal, and he was a teacher down in Alabama for about five years. Steven is learning how to adapt to the Iowan way of life, which is quite unique. His sister took someone's life when she robbed a bank, causing her to be in prison for life. Ava knows her mom robbed a bank, but doesn't know that her mom killed someone. Therefore he is raising his nine-year-old niece, Ava. He is only 27, himself.

Let's have a discussion... This is my perception on what it's like being a black woman who is married to a white man while living in an American society that is obsessed with race. It's a short read but very enlightening. Please leave a comment on what you think.

In 2016, a Swiss boy with a severe and a rare health problem created a blog on Wordpress: If At Birth You Don't Succeed. Months after his final blog post, he succumbed to heart failure and died peacefully in his sleep. On his third death anniversary, his parents with the help of Wordpress put up his secret blog posts for the world to see. "Luka, 14" tells the story of Luka, who grew up hidden away from the world, yet carried all its wonders in his weak, yet full heart.
