Aster comes home to find her house empty and her family has gone ahead and escaped without her. She is too slow and gets kidnapped by her Uncle's men. She is locked up by her Uncle and he is going to send her to a faraway kingdom to be married to one of the princes there. On the way she is met with misfortune and trades places with her maidservant. She almost gets taken by the fairies when tries to get help but runs into some men that help her escape. She and her maidservant are then taken to the same place she is trying to escape from.
