I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.

Clancy was born with the ability to talk to the dead. He was destined to become a bishop and he attended Dema's most elite academy of magic, where Josh was a servant. Clancy has to learn how to manage his powers, make the voices of the ghosts go quiet when they're too much, and fulfil his destiny. Josh just wants to make money to help his sick father. Soon, Clancy falls in love with the pretty red haired servant, but relationships are forbidden for students like him. Especially with a servant. But when has he ever followed the rules? - - - This is a Clancybearer fic but I've put my own twist on it so it's not 100% lore accurate, but I'm really proud of this one and I really hope you guys like it!
