Starts at episode 7 from Anne with an E, with references to earlier episodes. Anne Shirley Cuthbert had never truly been in love. Until the day she met Gilbert Blythe. She didn't realise it until years later however, when they were 16 and Gilbert had a girlfriend, Winnifred. Anne: "Winnifred is a lucky girl", she looked at him solemnly as she stated this, "I should go back". She quickly stood up and walked back into the school. Gilbert were left pondering at her words. Does she like him, if so, why did she tell him that she didn't need him, that day on the train. Will Anne ever open up about her past demons to Gilbert?

"You don't have to be formal, Blythe," Lincoln whispered in my ear. "You're the empress of this country now. Nobody can disrespect you, threaten you, or ever put you in a position that you feel anything but comfortable in." His hand lingered about an inch away from my back. Her parents isolated her from the world and tried everything to try to forget Fritz and get better, but the girl’s obsession with Fritz grew stronger as the years passed. One night, her house catches on fire, which kills Blythe’s parents. As the authorities investigate they find out that the fire wasn’t accidental, which leads them to think that Blythe’s schizophrenia led her to a state of pyromania, therefore blaming her for the fire and her parent’s death. Blythe runs away, avoiding getting caught. She has no idea where she’s going, she can’t find Fritz anywhere and has no experience in the real world; she decides to hide in an alley, but soon finds out that she has bumped into someone else’s hiding place….
