In 1941, a young teenager, who's Father is a Military sergeant, discovers a body at Miami Beach. He later realizes that the body isn't the body of a human, but the body of a mythical creature: a mermaid. Astonished by the discovery, he and his Father place the mermaid in a pond behind his house and later realizes something more sinister: the mermaid escaped her underwater home that was invaded by the Kriegsmarine, Nazi Germany's Marine forces, who are tracking her down. With the help from his Father, he works to protect the mermaid and drive the Kriegsmarine out of their home. Word count: 2988
