A much needed retreat for a stressed out writer turns into a nightmare when she discovers a body on the beach, and from there she discovers a terrifying secret...

A short story that ties in with the Dust and Silver collection which includes Dust and Silver, Pale for Weariness, Sleet and Shadow, and Music in its Roar. What happens when a body is dragged out of the Thames on a foggy night? Is it an accident? Murder? And what if the victim is still alive?

In an island, Ioxta, located in the west of the Atlantic ocean and ruled by the only unmarried girl Bellatrix, a man's body was found on the beach of that island in a rainy day of May. Who was he ? Where did he come from ? How did he find the unknown island ? Was he someone dangerous or just someone who had enough luck in his pocket to be drifted by the ocean's waves to the borders of Ioxta and stay alive ? The answer of the mystery behind that man lies in the content of the story. So if your curiosity got the better of you, simply read the story.
