Twelve-year-old Aaron never expected his life to change outside a hospital in Montana, but after his father dies, Beth Dutton finds him sitting on a bench. Fierce, unapologetic, and protective, Beth brings him to the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, her family's ranch since 1885. Spanning thousands of acres of rugged mountains, wild rivers, and endless pastures, Yellowstone is a place where loyalty is everything, and weakness doesn't survive. Beth's husband, Rip Wheeler, is a cold, intimidating enforcer with a haunted past and a heart that beats only for Beth. Rip's is less than thrilled about the young kid sleeping in the bunkhouse, but he agrees to keep Aaron on for Beth. Aaron earns his keep by working dawn to dusk, eating whatever one of the ranch hands cooks up for meals. At first, Aaron is just another ranch hand, but over time, Beth's tough love and Rip's watchful guidance start to shape him. Soon enough, the Duttons become the closest thing to a family Aaron's ever known.
(All rights go to Taylor Sheridan and John Linson for the creation of Yellowstone, except for my own created characters.)
