Nobody prepares you for the confusing struggle of parting ways with who you once were. If you're stubborn like me you'll try and fight it only to realize that you can't hold on to the broken girl that you once were if want to become a strong woman. These essays are a small reflection of my struggle when it comes to growing up, something that *evidently* isn't over once you turn eighteen. I hope that these musings can be helpful to anyone who's going through their awkward phase again (19-25). © briannasniknej

Miles is a loner. He's a loner by choice, as for him, it's safer to isolate himself from people rather than trust them and be disappointed. High School is filled with ignorant and mean kids, and out of all of them, Hunter Edwin is the last person he would trust. Hunter decides to approach Miles, which Miles rejects, but Hunter doesn't give up. Eventually Miles starts to let his guard down and develop feelings for Hunter... What will he do?

In human skin, she was half war, half peace. - Noor Unnahar Ophelia has lost faith in love, she has difficulty trusting people easily. She has built walls high up for anyone now to even notice. And this story is about how she finds herself again. How she claims her happiness without denying further. Of how she overcomes her anxiety, her insecurities and built up anger. Cold war with her own body. Calvin totally opposite yet similar in so many ways to Ophelia. He has his own demons to deal with. He has a facade built up. Will they stare enough into each other's soul to dig out their real, raw emotions and feelings? It's not just a romantic love story. There is no knight in shining armor to save a damsel in distress. Both of them are in mess. It's a story of two souls who find comfort in their insecurities, their issues and heal together, grow together. Just like the sunset melts into the ocean they drown into each other's broken spots and love shines from within.

Basically an in-depth exploration into my really fucked mind. Call it a cry for a help but as long as I post I'm still here. Trigger and every other warning please don't open if you are sensitive. I wouldn't want to cause anymore damage.
