Vanguan Voltaris and his mate, Ilkzike Nestoris, had been separated ever since the Great War began. He has been forced to go outside his comfort bubble, and Ilkzike has to be involved in an attack on the Voltaris in Mount Velgrin, where Vanguan lives. Tygren expects more of Vanguan as his son, but Vanguan seemed to never reach Tygren's expectations. As Achillean's sister, people expect more of Ilkzike. They want her to be a warrior in KoA's forces, but it is yet she will reach that level. Both have not yet reached expectations, but they need to keep fighting each other... until one eventually dies.

This fanfiction takes place in Ardonia, but they have the things we have today, like technology. It's going to have a very different take on the Songs of War we all know. --------- Modern day Ardonia is very different from the Ardonia that fought in the Great Wars and many things have changed. Technology is more advanced, security is better, travel is faster and many other things are better than they once were. But some things didn't change. More dangers, more ways to kill, more ways to end a whole race have made an appearance.
