Maybe, bad things just happen because the Fates weren't on her side. Whatever the case, she is a whole lot different from most protagonists.

Hi. My name is Emma Gylnt. Welcome to my story. Interesting. I peeled open the paper packaging and inside was a small box. It was much smaller than I was expecting. I grabbed my pocket knife and cut the tape on the box. Inside was a pink hexagonal piece of glass. And it was ... glowing?? There where tiny lines pulsating, like veins, on the glass. I brought it closer to my eye so I could see them better. All of a sudden the glass latched onto my face, hovering a short distance from my eye. I tried to pry it off but it wouldn't budge! I was thrown into a panic, what was it going to do to me?! Then some sort of map appeared in front of me. It was projecting from the glass. The map went away as soon as it came, and left me with an enormous headache. I felt drained and sat against the wall. I tried one final attempt, with what little strength I had, to get the thing off my face. It flew off, and landed on the ground beside me, not a scratch on its surface. Hope you enjoy the book! It's my first real book so I'm super excited and nervous about the feedback I'm gonna get from it. I'll try my best to publish chapters as often as possible. See ya then friends! Cover art made by me ✨ =3
