A nihilistic, drug-numbed eighteen-year-old crashes his car while high, loses an arm, and kills a stranger's father in the process. Awaiting trial, he's broken out of his jail cell - not by an ally, but by a masked stranger who turns out to be the father who abandoned him twelve years ago. What follows is not an escape story so much as a forced pilgrimage: barefoot, under a vow of silence, walking through Himachal's rivers and forests toward a monastery whose name the father's dead war-friend whispered to him before dying in the Galwan clash. Behind them, a vengeance-driven police officer - whose own father the boy killed - is closing in.
