This is gonna be a book of poems that I've written myself about certain aspects of my life. If you love poetry (especially slam poetry) and wanna know more about me as a person and a writer then this should be a great read for you. I hope you guys enjoy and I'm not opposed to critic so comment away. I also might add other people's poems if they'd like to get their work out there. (Don't worry I will never take credit for your work and will always make sure that your name is on the chapter in big bold letters unless you'd like to remain anonymous)

Nothing left she can give

I'm at the beginning of a relationship, and it's not far enough in for me to be able to express how I really feel about him, so I've just written some poetry about it. This one I was inspired after binge watching Firefly and I was looking out of my window towards the night sky.

My first attempt at some button poetry. Just imagine emotions :')

These are the things I will never say, the things I can never say- to her. Falling in love is never simple especially when you have a habit of falling for the unattainable. For Her. And other poems is a collection which details the feeing we all experience in an unrequited love- and the things we are often to afraid to say.

Not everything you'll read will make sense to you, don't worry it's not supposed to. I write for relief, I write for satisfying my fantasies. This is a journey, one that has not been completed, one that will not be completed until my last breath. This is my peace, This is life, once I started living it.

I gave myself a year to write. To write and not stop. Since then, I have been brave enough to share my writings with others at poet cafes' and on my social media. Not knowing that I was impacting those around me I decided to enter the 2018 Button Poetry contest in hopes to conquer yet another one of my fears. The book is titled Epiphanies and the reason is due to the adversities that I have faced in this year alone which has led for revelations of new found belief to where I am.

The butterflies have left is my journey to discovering love in poetry. It's pain, pleasure and heart throbbing nostalgia....

I've been writing since I was in my mid teens, I use poetry as a release for emotion. That's literally all this is, a book of poetry.

Rudy Francisco is one of the most recognizable names in Spoken Word Poetry. He was born, raised and still resides in San Diego, California. At the age of 21, Rudy completed his B.A. in Psychology and decided to continue his education by pursuing a M.A. in Organizational Studies. As an artist, Rudy Francisco is an amalgamation of social critique, introspection, honesty and humor. He uses personal narratives to discuss the politics of race, class, gender and religion while simultaneously pinpointing and reinforcing the interconnected nature of human existence.
