Last weekend, we went camping in a quiet forest beside a clear, flowing river. The cool breeze gently moved through the tall green trees, and the bright campfire burned softly in the dark evening. I could smell the fresh pine leaves and the warm, smoky air from the fire. Nearby, the smooth rocks and soft grass felt pleasantly cool under my feet. As night came, the bright stars slowly appeared in the wide, dark sky. We happily roasted sweet marshmallows over the cracking fire and listened carefully to the chirping crickets and the distant hoosting owls. The peaceful campsite felt calm and relaxing, and the gentle sound of the flowing river made the whole night feel quietly magical.

May and Carol are at a three week long summer camp, for seniors just out of high school. They've been waiting for this since their very first summer camp, back in the second grade.
