Anya Merkin had a wonderful life, well... actually the only part that was wonderful was her boyfriend. Her mother was very controlling and reprimanding. But as she grew closer to her boyfriend, her mother hated her boyfriend even more. Jason Traz had the girl of his dreams, and he had nothing else to wish for, except for her complete happiness. He knew she went through a tough time with her mom, and he also knew that her mom didn't like him. Her reasoning? "She can do better." No one thought it could've gotten worse until ''the accident". Anya had lost 7months of her memory, so she doesn't even remember meeting her boyfriend. Anya's mother took advantage of this and set Anya up with another guy. Leaving the keys in the ignition, I crawled toward the passenger side to make my escape. My wobbly legs barely supported me as I stepped into the frigid air. From the side of the road, I crouched down to examine the front of the car completely caved in. The cracked headlights revealed the impact from the side railing. My breathing became shallow and rapid. I tried to think back to Driver's Ed. "If you hit an ice patch while speeding down the highway and spin out of control, but the car is still halfway on the road when you stop and won't move an inch, here's what you should do..." Unfortunately, I never took Driver's Ed. *NOTE: This is a memoir (a written account of an actual event) of the time I was hit by a car in March of 2019. This story was difficult for me to share, as I am still affected by the aftermath of the accident. Thank you for being with me on this journey.
