"My advice is always ruin the friendship, better that than regret it for all time..." Haymitch narrows his eyes, "You've trained for this." She smirks a little, "I'm from District One, obviously I've trained." "No," he shakes his head, "You're different - you're not arrogant, you're confident." It's her turn to roll her eyes as she redirects her gaze to the sunset, "Yeah, well, I'm a Blessing. I was practically raised for this. My brothers set the bar pretty high." His eyebrows raise at that, he'd heard of her family. God, practically everyone in Panem had heard of her family. Because every time a Blessing child had volunteered for the Hunger Games, they didn't just win - they entertained.

"Bridget Jones with a lot more wine! This story is hilarious, feel-good and relatable in all the best ways!" - Grace K @ HQ. She's just quit her high-flying job, and her marriage is coasting on fumes. Can Alice find a sense of purpose in the wreckage? ***** Alice's life isn't going to plan. She's tied to her phone, pointlessly managing PR for a sinking corporate megalith. She's become a bit player in her kids' lives, and her marriage is coasting on fumes. Forcing herself into action with a rash resignation, Alice sets out to make a positive impact on the world around her. But how? Meditation leads to napping, and her attempts to get closer to her teenage daughter result in the discovery of a secret that leaves her at a loss. As the months tick by and a sense of purpose continues to elude her, Alice finds herself forming bonds with the most unlikely characters: the young woman who panhandles outside her old office; the homeless boy who sits cross-legged outside the liquor store with his ginger cat; her own dog walker who, it turns out, knows a thing or two about developing a good crema. Testing the limits of marriage, motherhood and the Toronto subway system -- can Alice find her way into a purpose-driven life? Or will it all be one giant hangover? [*Wattpad Editor's Pick 2018*] [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]] Readers say: "This had me laughing so loud that my sister came to check up on me to see if I'm OK!!!" "...the new Bridget Jones, a working woman's take on the digital age." About the Author: Working mother and red wine enthusiast, Renee lives in Toronto with her flawed but wonderful family (seriously, who left socks on the kitchen counter?) in a flawed but wonderful house (what *is* that smell in the basement?) where she writes flawed but wonderful stories about what it is to be a woman today.

"I hate you." she snaps, turning away like even looking at him is a crime. He clutches his heart dramatically, "Haye-" and is just about to collapse when his friend grabs him. "Bhai, usne I hate you bola hai, I love you nahi." (Bro, she said I hate you, not I love you.) He straightens up, completely unfazed."Woh jo bhi bole, mujhe I love you hi sunai deta hai." (Whatever she says, I only hear I love you.) His friend sighs, shaking his head, "Ajeeb log hai iss duniya mein." (People in this world are really strange.) Born on the same day, at the same time sounds like destiny, right? You'd expect a perfect love story. Yeah... no. It's chaos. She hates him. He lives to annoy her. She wants him out of her life. He refuses to leave. She's a phuljadi bright, sharp, and fiery. He's a patka loud enough to disturb the entire world. She's sincere about her studies. He doesn't even know what the "S" in studies stands for. She loves eating brownies. He loves making them... just to see her smile. That's all I can tell you for now. Rest? You'll have to read the book. 😉

My first flight gave me wings. My past was waiting for me at the boarding gate. Years after walking away from my first love, I thought I'd left that chapter behind. I was wrong. As old memories begin resurfacing, so do the dreams, promises, and heartbreak that once shaped who I was-and the people who shaped me. This is a story about first love and forever love. About being remembered in the smallest ways. About choosing yourself without stopping yourself from loving. About family, ambition, healing, impossible choices, and the lives we build after goodbye. Because sometimes... gravity isn't strong enough to keep two souls together. And sometimes, letting go is the only way to finally fly.

''What do you want to be when you grow up?'' Jaq hated this question with a passion. Not because she wasn't good at anything. Quite the opposite. She was annoyingly good at picking up skills with enough YouTube tutorials, spite, and free time. She just couldn't pick and stick to a freaking lane. Join Jaq as she navigates career disasters, family drama, sexuality confusion, and the increasingly ridiculous pressure to "find her calling." Because apparently, being good at everything except knowing what the hell you're doing with your life isn't a valid career path.
