They could do things no other humans could. It's debatable whether or not they could be considered humans or some other species. You could call them many things, but supernatural is the best word to use. They have extremely powerful abilities. Has there ever been a time you suddenly forgot something you were about to do? Or say? Possibility is that there was someone time travelling. And during that space time continuum you were involved somehow, causing you to forget your memory. Or, quite possibly you left something in a place you believed you'd surely remember, and looked again later, only to see it was no longer there but elsewhere. Like someone moved it--like telekenesis.  These people never knew they were different and this is the story about how they all become Disparate.
