I had even planned on titling this book Love During the Time of COVID, because this present time is hella reminiscent of Love in the time of Cholera and the cholera pandemic. Except for one important difference. The Internet!!!" This poetry chapbook was inspired by the men I have met either online or in person, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Right now, more than ever, people are trying to stay in contact with each other and even meet new people. I did not fair so well (haha), but it gave me a lot of motivation to write over 80 poems about guys, love, life and everything in between.

Arabic for "Hurry Up, Love," Yalla Habibi is all about a personal exploration of Arab American identity. This condensed, illustrated chapbook of poems is written in 3arabeezi, or Arabish-- mostly English with some Arabic words (and a fun glossary is included to help out!) (( Did she say fun glossary?! Yes! It has jokes.)) These poems comment on growing up with family history that can often be at odds with growing up American, as well as figuring out who you can be when belonging to multiple cultures. And there's art to go along with it all!

Mostly poems involving God's creation with some moments of realization. Poetry for me is a release but it's also how I capture those everyday moments when a picture just won't do it justice. Allow the words to paint a picture in your mind.

I wrote the chapbook based on my belief. The belief that no matter what feelings are flowing you someone else is also no stranger to this set of emotions. I've written those poems during the good and bad times that I've experienced nether less how I felt I was sure other individuals are going through. These poems fell into sequence of a story, a story that is not mine but the feelings of mine and many others.
