So I have read the whole comic online, but I felt like I wouldn't get the proper experience until I read the books. So I bought the first one, and saw something at the end. There is a mixtape on it which says "to Nick, from Charlie :)" I got inspired and made a playlist out of the songs. That then inspired me to write this fic. Each chapter is based on one of the songs on the list.

this is just an overwhelmingly cute thougs I had at 1am, so I'm sharing it with you. The characters aren't mines, they're Alice Oseman's wonderful creation but the scenario is mine.

Friends fall for friends Caspian Nelson the younger brother of David and Nicholas Nelson and adoptive son of Sarah Nelson is a boy of zero words. He has been traumatized so much in his past and now is the time for him to finally be normal when he gets to year 11 he begins to grow closer with one of Nick's friends Ben Hope. Ben is a popular boy who is trying to figure out his identity. Is he straight, gay, Bisexual, ext.? He is dealing with the guilt of losing Charlie because Ben was dating two people and was too selfish, too afraid to do the right thing and make a choice. He was too afraid to be himself, to be true to himself, and too afraid of what others would think. Can both boys help each other in ways that no one else can? Could they possibly fix each other? Other than Caspian and Aled, Imogen was one of the only people who had been there for Noah, When he made the switch from a girl to boy. Noah was having a tough time adjusting, especially now that he is going to the same school as his ex Harry Greene who broke up with Noah when he told Harry he was trans. But at least Noah has Caspian and Aled his best friends. And Imogen there's just something about her he always wants to be around her which makes the change harder. Is it possible that he's fallen for one of his best friends? When Imogen finds out that her feelings for Nick haven't been reciprocated she finds herself running to her best friend Noah. But throughout that year she finds herself going to him more frequently for comfort; she realizes that she likes to be around him and when she's not around him she feels sad. So naturally she begins to wonder is it possible that she could have feelings for her best friend? Charlie and Nick, two students who never interacted, become friends due to a seating arrangement. Charlie develops feelings for Nick, assuming they're one-sided, but Nick may reciprocate those feelings in a way they both don't expect.
