At just twenty-five years old, Nathan Luke has lived a full life-too full, too fast. A former JV baseball pitcher turned dedicated NYPD Grand Larceny Detective, Nathan is accustomed to solving puzzles and chasing down criminals. But he is currently losing the only fight that matters: a stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis that has given him a terminal timeline. Two years post-divorce, Nathan's world revolves around his five-year-old son, Milo. Nathan is desperate to reconnect with him, wanting to make the most of the limited time he has left, yet he is battling the agonizing gap that time and separation have created. Compounding his pain is his ex-wife, twenty-four-year-old Ella Luke, who has moved on with twenty-three-year-old Victor Roy. Nathan is forced to navigate his relationship with Ella and accept Victor's presence in Milo's life while simultaneously trying to build lasting memories with his son before it is too late. People call me a victim of cancer, even though I'm not. I am more like the host body of cancer. Cancer can leave me whenever it wants, to go wreck havoc on another person. It could give up trying to kill me, and let the chemotherapy take it away. But then there are cases like myself, when the cancer likes the body it is in, and it moves in permanently. When none of the chemotherapy and surgeries work. Those cases are labeled as terminal, told they are going to die. I was told I have two years to live.

Ellie, undergoing chemotherapy and always tired, endlessly hopes to leave her bare, stuffy hospital room and go out into the colorful outside world. Can Parker find a way to brighten her life a little more? *WORD COUNT INFO: Please know that while the word count of my story is 494, the word counter most likely says otherwise because of the hyphens and/or divider in the story. (It's reading the divider as 3 words and the 2 hyphens as individual words.) My word count (494) excludes those elements, but even with those elements included the word count is 500 and/or under. Thank you! :)

I'll never forget that day. That day the doctor told me, I, Niall Horan, had cancer. Cancer. That awful, deadly disease that we all pray we never have to live with. I had it. It was there. Living, growing inside me like a weed. Tearing me apart, sucking the life out of me, trying to destroy me mentally and physically, trying to kill me from the inside out. Somehow I got it. Somehow my nearly perfect life was suddenly turned upside down. This is my life now. I'm just a shell of a person riddled with cancer being suffocated by doctors. All I can do now is try and be one of the few that make it of the battle between life and death alive. *this book contains mild language that may not be appropriate for all audiences* ~*~ "This fic is awesome I love all of it, like we're on the 27 chapter an it's as exciting or even more than the first one it never loses the drama and it's a different love story, brotherly love that makes it special!" ~@Horan3044 "I've cried so much throughout this book" ~@daddynhoran "You've successfully made me cry, well done" ~@Abistringer1 "I've become addicted to your books!" ~@magconando2I "WHHHHHHHY It's so good but so sad!" ~NicoleRankin1 "OMG I literally am crying a fooking river right now.
