Heatwave and Quickshadow are a happily married couple and they live in Fort Worth Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist who works at Cook Children's hospital. They are happy with their life and soon they have a son. They name him Hot shot. They love Hot shot very much. Hot shot is growing into a very happy and active child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is now five years old. Hot shot soon begins to feel unwell in May. Hot shot is wondering why he is feeling so bad. He has a headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired, he is walking funny, he is loosing coordination, he is falling down a lot, and he has a head tilt. He is feeling so bad one night his parents rush him to the ER of Cook Children's hospital. There Hot shot is admitted for being sick and was in a lot of pain. A hospitalist who is caring for Hot shot is worried and decides a scan is needed. The next morning she sends Hot shot to get an MRI. Then Hot shot is discovered to have a brain tumor. The brain tumor gets a biopsy sample. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer. He makes friends with seven other kids in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Choroid Plexus Carcinoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is going to be brave and fight his cancer. Hot shot soon makes friends with four other kids his age in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt! They named him Hot shot. They loved him very much. Hot shot was growing into a highly active and healthy child. However shortly after his fifth birthday Hot shot starts to feel unwell. He has pain in left forearm, he is having trouble using his left arm, wrist and hand, he has a fever that won't go away and he has a lump on his left forearm right in the middle of it. Hot shot is taken to Cook Children's hospital by his parents after they call the doctor. There Hot shot sees a special doctor. Tests are done on him. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma a bone and soft tissue cancer common in children. Hot shot is brave and ready to fight his cancer. Hot shot befriends four other kids in the hospital his own age with the same type of cancer. They become best friends and decide to fight their cancer together. They are going to win too! There they do many tests on Hot shot and he is diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma a type of bone cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt! Bridgit has lived all her life knowing she had a rare cancer-like disease. Of course, she never would have thought she would go into relapse. What with doctors telling her that once she was a teenager the likelihood of that happening decreases tremendously. So when she finds out she has unexpectedly gone into relapse, she hopes that the world better have a reason for it.

Heatwave Flamezer is a handsome young man he is now a rookie firefighter. He moved to Fort Worth Texas after getting work at a local firehouse there. He moves into an apartment and starts to settle into his new life there. Then one day about six months after settling in the 22 year old sees a pretty lady move into his apartment complex who is 21 years old. Her name is Quickshadow and her apartment is the one across the hall from his. They become friends after meeting. Then a few months after that they start to date. Soon wedding bells were heard for the two of them. They are happily married. Soon they are hoping to have a happy and healthy family. Hannah a bright and wonderful eight year old girl loves to run, jump, climb and play. She is full of life. She is kind, sweet and wonderful. She loves Pokemon, Transformers, He-Man, other 1980s cartoons, animals, the color orange, Kirby, Mario, her stuffed Pangolin Pansy and baking. She loves being in third grade. She is also very healthy. However soon after school start in October Hannah feels unwell she is tired all the time, she has a headache that won't go away, she is vomiting, and she is cranky. Two weeks before Halloween Hannah was taken to her pediatrician who sends her to Cook Children's Hospital to get an MRI done. The MRI reveals a brain tumor. A biopsy is done and it is diagnosed as Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or ATRT brain cancer. Hannah needs a lot of treatment in order to get better. Hannah is ready to be brave and beat brain cancer.

Treatment for brain tumors depends upon a variety of elements including the type, place, and size of the tumor in addition to the patient's age and general health
