Camp Unseen is a place where the Mind Flayer keeps the dead imprisoned in a world of fear and torment. Those that died at the hands of the Mind Flayer and ultimately Vecna suffer greatly. With the exception of Sara Hopper-formerly known as 19-and the latest crop of victims, Kat, Marcy, Zoe and Calvin, everyone else is dead or under the influence of Vecna. Surrounded by pine forests, hundreds of kilometers from civilization, escape is not possible. There are no guard towers, no alarms, no dogs, only acres of dense forest prevented the juvenile campers from escaping. But all is not as it seems. There is a deadly secret kept hidden from the campers, one so terrifying that none of the seasoned campers speak of it to each other. Only the name Eleven gets whispered in hushed tones. New arrival Sara Hopper is plagued by nightmares of a shadowy being chasing her in the forest. It haunts her nights, disrupts her days. In between the hard labor and lack of sleep, she begins to exhibit strange powers. Powers she has kept so carefully hidden until now. One by one, the campers go missing. First Kat, then Marcy. Then Billy's girlfriend Brookyn disappears. He casts all blame on Sara. Bullied and tormented by Billy, she defends herself the only way she knows how, by using her powers. She is suddenly thrust into the spotlight. Accusations arise, fear over shadows everything else. Suspicion escalates when Eddie alone returns with a tale that sends fear to the hardest of hearts. Sara is tossed into the woods as punishment for the two missing campers. Now she alone, must face the evil lurking in the woods. She alone must survive. A stranger things fanfic. Book Two of the Sara Hopper story. Although Nineteen is written in third person, I have decided to write Book Two in first person as Nineteen is beginning to know herself.
