Background: you are an Avenger and live in the compound with everyone else, including Bucky. You've been dancing around each other because you each have similar struggles and a crush, but you don't think he feels the same. After being experimented on by HYDRA in the efforts to create "another Wanda," you were rescued after they deemed you too unhealthy. You have scoliosis and chronic pain in your back and legs, which causes mobility issues, so you often use a cane. (Because I like to project my issues onto fictional characters) This will (hopefully) turn into a several-chapter slow-burn where you and Bucky get together. Undecided about smut because just cause I read a lot doesn't mean I know how to write it. Please be kind. This is literally my first fanfic after years of reading them. I've always considered myself a decent writer at school but never could get into writing fiction. But, alas, variety is the spice of life. (or the bane of yours if it turns out shitty, hopefully not) Title from Body by Mother Mother Also posted on A03 under the user marvel_witch *I do not own these characters obviously, I am using them as allowed under Fair Use*

Trigger Warnings: Self-harm (graphic descriptions of nail marks, bleeding, and compulsive behavior) Addiction & Relapse (Vicodin dependency, withdrawal, emotional and physical consequences) Chronic Pain (descriptions of physical suffering, pain-induced behavior) Mental Health Struggles (depression, isolation, hopelessness, intrusive thoughts) Dr. Gregory House has always lived with pain-physical, emotional, and the kind that keeps you awake at 3AM. After years of pushing people away, chasing numbness, and drowning himself in pills and sarcasm, the cracks are starting to show. Wilson sees it. Thirteen suspects it. House? He's not ready to admit he's falling apart again. As the battle within his own body turns into a war inside his mind, House has to confront the ghosts of his past, the addiction he can't outrun, and the people still trying to love him through the wreckage. Pain was always easier than healing. But maybe... just maybe... he doesn't have to fight alone this time.

On the night her mother and brother are killed, she survives by accident AND by decision. Moved across the country under protective relocation, she arrives in New York injured, grieving, and dependant on her estranged father. Her body no longer moves the way it used to with pain replacing certainty. Standing is something she negotiates, not assumes. Nothing is simple anymore. As investigations drag on and the threats shift, she begins to understand that protection is not always benevolent and that survival is negotiated in silence. When she crosses paths with a man whose authority is unmistakable and whose restraint is unsettling, she realises he knows more about her survival than anyone has admitted. What begins as a search for answers becomes something far more dangerous: a connect built not on rescue, but by choice with full knowledge of the cost.

A poetry collection created to bring to light the real experiences of people living with chronic illness and invisible disability. These works confront uncomfortable truths about how our society views the ill, as well as the shortcomings of healthcare in the United States. This collection is a work in progress. Constructive criticism is encouraged, and more poems covering a larger range of experiences and conditions will be added as it expands. Please comment on the pieces and let me know your thoughts; if you related to the material and subject matter please share your story!

I've always believed that healthcare should be a right, not a privilege - but the world doesn't always work that way. Over the years, I saw too many people skip their medicine doses because they just couldn't afford them. I had friends, relatives, even strangers message me asking if there was a "cheaper version" of what the doctor prescribed. And the worst part? Often, there was - but they didn't know where to find it or whom to trust. That's how GenericsMedicineShop.com was born. Not out of a business idea, but out of frustration and compassion. I wanted to create something honest - a place where people could get safe, effective, and affordable generic medicines, without worrying about quality or being scammed. Today, we offer medicines like Tapentadol 100mg (found in brands like Tapal and Etadol) to people who actually need them - for pain, for recovery, for dignity. We don't just ship boxes - we ship a little bit of hope with every order. Every day, I wake up knowing that what we're doing is helping someone sleep better, move easier, live with less pain. And honestly? That's what keeps me going. If you're looking for trusted, affordable healthcare - or just someone who understands - we're here. 👉 Visit GenericsMedicineShop.com
