There are no victors, only survivors. Brook Thread was eight when her mother died and she was ripped from her home in district four to live with her father, Romulus Thread in district two. She never wanted to go to the academy and train for the hunger games, but it was better than being at home and her father never gave her a choice about it. She met Clove Kentwell on her first day of training and they quickly became best friends. But when reaping day comes the odds certainly do not seem to be in their favor... What if Katniss never killed Marvel? What if district 12 was never meant to have a victor? What if the 74th Hunger Games was meant to have a victor from district 1? Marvel was once a nameless character in the first Hunger Games Movie and Book, but he will no longer be overlooked. You as a reader have 2 choices within this book, you could either read it as just the Hunger Games from Marvel's pov and stop at the point where in cannon he dies. Or... You can finish this book and see what happens when Katniss and Peeta don't win.

Based on The Hunger Games Clove Kentwell is your average tenage girl. Great family, amazing friends, and decent grades. Her life is going amazing until she discovers that she is moving to a new town called Panem. Once they get to Panem, Cloves mother and step dad decide to send her to a boarding school. At the boarding school Clove faces happiness, sadness, and most of all... DRAMA! A new chapter in her life is begining, will she be able to handle it all? All charactors belong to Suzanne Collins.
