There is a legend one of which to some meant nothing, however to those of who bow down to the covenant and offer up there life. Well then they believe it, they believe in finding the truth behind it. This man, the one the legend is based on, lures those who he believes to have a soul of rarest talent, the exact same soul as pure bloods of the covenant.However the question is why not just making more pure bloods instead of trying to find not so quite replicas of them. The reason? He must find the one with the soul of which is draped with red, like himself. These two souls are coven bound.

The assassin, which she doesn't figure out until later, refuses and simply states that he just felt like helping her. --- Matthew McGregor, an impulsive and short-tempered assassin, finds himself using some goons as target practice. Though in doing so, earns him the debt of a woman who clearly didn't know when to stop talking. He didn't want her money though she had plenty of it despite not looking the part all covered in dirt and soon bruises. Try as he might, it would seem misfortune would allow this woman to find him wherever he went. This woman reminded him of his apprentice days when he was just a loud mouth kid who questioned and annoyed his mentor endlessly. Soon the two become master and apprentice though it won't become long til they become something more.
