"Happy birthday sweetie" She cooed at her daughter. "Thank you mommy" she stared adorably at her mother with her doe eyes. "Now that I turned 13 ,can I know about papa?"She asked mother. "He is so sweet,he took good care of me,he was perfect........" The mother said sadly. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes. "Then why isn't he anymore with us?" the girl asked confused. "Cause sweetie ...........I KILLED HIM."

my childhood-island life described in a few.

This is currently a story in progress. That being said, I'm improvising the whole thing as I'm writing it. The main character is Dave, who comes from a stressful situation. He's not quite sure what to do, so he basically tries to keep himself occupied so that he doesn't have to focus on reality. He has a little bit of support from people, but it's hard for him to soak that in when everyone else is already anticipating his failure.

Their eyes met across the crowded Eid gathering, time slowed. Her shy smile said everything her lips couldn't. He looked away, then back-unable to resist her glow. No words were spoken, yet hearts began to whisper. In silence, love was born-pure, hidden, and unforgettable. 🫶
