Stella Calvin has always been quite cheerful considering all the family drama she has to endure through her parent's divorce. She's always tried her best to make her little brother, Charlie, happy and to make light out of any difficult situation. One night, Scott Calvin and his two kids are in for the adventure of a lifetime. But, Scott and his eldest daughter are put through an even more interesting situation. Scott Calvin is now Santa Claus and Stella has become his Assistant and Protector of the North Pole. But, it's much more complicated on Stella's side of this story. On Stella's journey to becoming an elf, she endures frustrating and uncomfortable changes and it's up to the Head Elf, Bernard to help her through it. Bernard is also enduring some changes as well during his journey to helping Stella's transformation. What are these changes? How will Scott, Stella and Bernard get through them? And most importantly of all...Who is Stella Calvin, really? What is her relevance to this story? Why does she even exist? What is her main job? Well, there's only one way to find out...

Roughly 15 years have passed since the day, Sonic the hedgehog and his friends had defeated the End and saved the world. Eggman, gaining a new understanding of life now having his own little family, decided to call a truce with Sonic, saying that if he stopped creating machines to take over the world, he may be forgiven of his crimes and may live a peaceful life with his daughter, sage. The young fifteen-year-old eventually stumbled upon a strange shop with a stranger man who curses Comet and sends him away to another planet. Not too long after the boy meets a Dragon girl named Lilac. The two get into quite the adventure when they meet Lord Brevon and his army of forces trying to take over Avalice! Perseverance /ˌpəːsɪˈvɪərəns/ noun persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. When a wealthy man lost his only daughter, he became desperate. When he found out about the Kaminoans and their dealings in clones he contacted them immediately. The DNA sample was given to them, and the process began. Unfortunately, the clone developed into twins. The man only wanting one child left the other with the Kaminoans. Left with nothing but a last name, Inesader grew up to be a rebellious teenager. Now, she's trying to find her own place in this world, of course causing as much chaos as possible at the same time.

My short story puts you in the shoes of Alexander as he and his family go on the run for survival from an incoming comet. Standing without any movement in the middle of their neighborhood road, Alexander closes his eyes in an attempt to calm himself while his family is finishing packing up to leave. The view from their tiny spot on a hill overlooks the area marked with woods, neighborhood houses, and the mountains in the distance. The news that morning had issued a devastating warning that a previously undetected comet was on a collision course with Earth, following up with a Presidential speech in the Oval Office confirming the news and for there to be calm and order. No one knows or is saying when or where the comet could hit Earth, but the rumors are being flung around by everyone. The President only comments that it's better for public safety that the timing and location of the impact will stay unknown. This leads Alexander's family to heed the advice of the news experts to pack up and leave for the safety of the higher elevated mountains in case of tsunami events...

This is my submission for SciFi Competitions and Challenges - September 2019: Comet's Tale. I tried to keep it more similar to the structure of children's books than my usual stories. Additionally, yes, I do know the difference between "tale" and "tail." However, I think it is a nice pun to call a story "A Comet's Tale" and then center it around a comet's tail.

Navigating each other's worlds-urban chaos and mountain serenity-they forge a deep connection through notes and shared experiences, guided by a comet and a physical memento. As the swaps fade, their longing to meet sparks a journey that culminates in a love transcending their extraordinary circumstances.

Juniper Cram just graduated and is now trying to figure out their xenobiology career. They meet Aliz Lectara, an amphibosoan dedicated to her job and a sentient R.V named Comet who wishes to be more than just a vehicle. Together the three travel around the universe of Futurama living the ultimate space van life. This story is based on a Futurama roleplay between me and TheDisenchanter.
