Queens don't need a king to be queen, they need a king to to be the pretty face beside her throne. Queens don't need a knight to save them. They most certainly do not. Rielle Macquinn is the reigning queen of Fayelar Academy, ever since Sebastian Renard fell from his throne. Or was rather dethroned by the cruel queen herself. Queens don't need friends. They need allies to keep a leash over their kingdom. They don't need a king to rule with. Rielle Macquinn most certainly does not. Her reign is nearing the end, as senior year approaches. And Sebastian Renard, former king, decides it's the perfect time to take back his rightful place from the queen.

Nicholas Bell and his ex lover are hiding from inter galactic law. These gifted individuals, while 'human', are differentiated from their society by their superhuman abilities.
