Laika gets pregnant and gives birth tow two pups, only one survives. The story of the life of a mother cougar. I was bored, I like cats, and I just watched a documentary, so I thought I'd write a story about them. Hope any readers enjoy :3. (Keep in mind the landscape in this story is fictional and will be inspired by real life, but most likely made up. It will be the designated territory of the average cougar). (P.s. I am not fully educated on cougars specifically, so if there's something totally wrong about the way I write cougars that's probably why)

Three cats, Wisp, King, and Tiger lived as lone cats. They formed a strong bond over time, in their life times, and became close friends. Wisp was the bold one. She was a small black, white and gray she cat. She loved adventure, and was always there to look out for her companions. She was very small, but doesn't let that stop her! King was the quiet one. He always had an interest in the small things, always avoided confrontation and fights. Almost the opposite of Wisp. He liked to observe nature. He's a ginger and black spotted male. Tiger was the tactical one. He aided Wisp when others couldn't. Wisp thought the tiny patch of forest she and her friends lived in, wasn't right for her, and that there was so much more to explore. Her friends agreed, and together they began to travel to a new forest, bigger, and richer with more prey for them to feast on. As they did reach this new land, they stayed for a few months, and traveled again to a new place to live in. This continued to keep traveling, and the act morphed into a tradition. Along the way, they met new cats, whom wanted to take part in their journey. The three cats happily accepted, and they would travel together. During time, the trio of cats grew into a large mass of cats, and they formed positions to help keep everything in balance. Wisp, was leader. She organized cats to hunt, to build nests, and she decided when the group was to travel again. King, was the Healer, he collected new plants to help heal and cure sick cats, he helped deliver kits, and gave guidance to Wisp in times of need. ___ was the Deputy. The second in command. He helped Wisp with her leadership. He also helped gather plants with King, and took part in training the younger cats. But this group soon faced troubles, difficult obstacles they had to learn to pass. What lies ahead for this small group of cats? // Based of the series WARRIORS, written by Erin Hunter. //

Willow's had to fight to get to where she is now. She doesn't need anyone telling her what to do or how to do it. Her life is perfect the way it is, but it's near impossible for her to fulfill her wants of keeping her independent lifestyle. For starters, Willow isn't even human; she's a Volpe (fox-shifter), but being a Volpe is more complicated than simply being able to shift into a fox. For thousands of years, there were only humans and for those thousands of years, they killed each other over the color of their skin. But that was then. Now shifters are an everyday part of life and no one cares about the color of a person's skin: it's their species, and it's even worse than it was between humans and the levels of melanin in their skin. Volpes are the most hated of all the species. Supposedly cunning and deceitful to many, they are discriminated against and viewed as nuisances. Lupos (wolf-shifters) hate them most of all, with Volpes returning the favor. Lupos - with their powerful packs and Alphas throughout the world - have the obvious social advantage over Volpes, but that doesn't stop the world from turning and the natural course of events to happen. Every shifter will eventually find and bond to a person who compliments them in every sense for no other reason than a cruel twist of their reproductive biology. With little to no conscious decision as to who their "mate" will be, two shifters - two strangers - are forced together, their fates forever intertwined because of a chance encounter.
