Time is running out for all of us. But we don't always realize how much time is wasted on the past. This poem is meant to be a follow up to pretty much every other poem I've written. Cassandra has spent her youth running the canals of Venice, keeping one step ahead of trouble by the use of her wits and stolen skill with the rapier. But now she has come of age in the eyes of society and a casual vow made when she was only a child has come back to haunt her, and the consequences may prove to be lethal. Torn from the only home she has ever known and exiled to a strange land, Cassandra is forced to ask herself why she has never wondered as to the parents that she never knew or questioned just who she is herself.
