Kaliyana is a boss in every sense of the word. A young Jamaican entrepreneur, respected, disciplined, self-made. On the outside, she's calm, collected, untouchable. The kind of woman who builds empires before twenty-five and never lets fear show on her face. But behind closed doors, something isn't right. Someone is watching her. At first, it's small things-an unknown number, a voice that knows her real name, a truck that lingers too long outside her dream home. Kali tells herself she's overthinking. Strong women don't panic. Strong women keep going. Until the night fear comes too close. When a stalker tries to take what doesn't belong to him, Kali does the unthinkable-she defends herself. One pull of the trigger changes everything. Not because she wanted violence... but because survival demanded it. That night, Jahlani sees her. A badman. A don. A man who's lived by rules written in blood and loyalty. He isn't supposed to fall for anyone-especially not a woman who looks soft but moves like she's ready for war. But watching Kali stand her ground-unbroken, shaking on the inside but still standing-does something to him. From that moment on, Jahlani doesn't just see a woman in danger. He sees a queen who doesn't know she's about to be guarded by a devil who chooses her. She doesn't need saving. But he protects her anyway. And in a world where love is risky and enemies don't miss twice, power meets protection-and neither of them will ever be the same.

"So, when are you going to give me a chance?" I asked, referencing the unrequited feelings that had lingered since high school. After a brief pause, a sly smile spread across her face. "How about... next... never," she teased, before leaning in to kiss my cheek. With that, she got out of the car and left me stunned.. *~•~•~* In the complex world of high school, students navigate a delicate balance of academics, social relationships, and personal growth. For Kyomi, a British transfer student, this new environment is a chance to heal and rediscover herself. Having lost her best friend and brother, Kyomi's bubbly personality gave way to introversion. However, as she settles into her new life in Jamaica, she begins to form strong bonds and find joy again. That is, until she meets him - a captivating and wealthy schoolboy who unwittingly captures her heart. As Kyomi delves deeper into his world, she uncovers a startling truth: her crush is the next Don, and his family is eerily connected to her painful past. Jah'Mari, the charming footballer, is the eldest son of a powerful family. Reserved and observant, he guards his emotions, one thing is certain - their love will be tested by jealousy, secrets, pain, heartbreak, and drama.

For Rory, dreams have always been a refuge-a place where her imagination can run wild, untethered by the constraints of reality. But when her nightly escape turns into something far more sinister, she realizes the dream world is no longer a sanctuary but a battleground. Shadows are stirring, and a dark force threatens to shatter the fragile boundary between dreams and waking life. Enter Talon, a mysterious figure who seems to straddle both realms with ease. His cryptic warnings and fierce protection draw Rory into a conflict she can barely comprehend. As the Sandman's gambit unfolds, Rory discovers her connection to the dream world is far deeper-and far more dangerous-than she ever imagined. Pulled between two worlds, Rory must navigate a labyrinth of illusions, allies, and enemies, where nothing is as it seems and everything has a cost. Her grip on reality begins to slip, and even those closest to her question her sanity. With time running out, Rory must face her greatest fears and embrace the truth of who she is-before the dream world consumes them all. In a tale where the boundaries of reality blur and dreams hold the power to save or destroy, Dream Catcher will keep you questioning what's real until the very last page.

The world is the Citizen Republic, and its only language is Citizen. Over the course of a century the Citizen Republic conquered its provinces, near and far, triggering massive waves of immigration and dividing the people of the world into two categories: citizens and outlanders. Beaten by the military might of the Republic, outlanders in the provinces gave up their independence to become colonies. The Republic built roads, hospitals, and schools in its new territories, forcing all outlanders to learn citizen, wiping out all other languages for good. Now the outlander legends of old and their telling have all but died out under the weight of the citizen tongue. But not everyone is willing to forget - for there is magic in the outlander tongues, and word-mages willing to learn to wield them in their struggle to end the tyranny of the Citizen Republic and to free the languages of the world.
