As she tries to piece together clues that are hidden just beneath the surface, she also has to deal with her mother's crazy past, her best friend's sudden disappearance, and the wealthy people in her neighborhood who are harboring lies and secrets that could impact Mabel's future forever. How is she supposed to survive high school if her first year is already corrupted?
