For Dakota the realization struck like a brick wall. Her perfect little story had many holes. She was not expected to live to see her child grow, she chose to continue her pregnancy instead of chemo. She chose the evidence of her love. A love long lost. A tragedy she still has not come to terms with. This is her legacy, that she leaves to her unborn child. The story of her unrequited love and the precious gem that was found amongst the rubble.
