She doesn't talk about Isabella, and she definitely doesn't talk about the way Amber left. But now, she's got a room of her own, two soft hearted internet nerds who call themselves her guardians, and a school theatre production she's trying not to panic about. She's weird. She knows that. She feels everything too much. She gets stuck in her own head, and sometimes she forgets how to be "normal." Maybe she's broken. Or maybe she's just never had the space to figure herself out.

13-year-old Iris has been living her life trapped in lonely foster homes. She's moved almost every month, due to being antisocial and distant towards the families. Nobody seems to understand the trauma she's dealing with; the memories of her biological family constantly haunting her. It's impossible for her to feel a sense of safety. She never feels at home. Although she does experience times of joy, it is quite rare for her to find any source of light in her life. But there are two YouTubers who manage to give her momentary happiness. And all it takes to get their attention is one letter. **WARNING** I wrote this a while ago now and I really don't like any of it. Expect poor writing and character development. Sorry in advance. * "Dan, can you stop that, it's really weird," I protested, trying to shuffle away but instead I felt myself being sucked into his magnetic gaze. Suddenly, I was centimetres away from eyes. What was going on? What was Dan doing? It was beginning to feel a bit spooky now. I desperately wanted to get away but I was being pulled into a black hole and there was no escape. Why was he being like this? What did he want? Why did I- Next thing I knew, Dan's lips had melted against mine and he was kissing me. Shocked, I stayed motionless, eyes wide open and my hands glued to my sides for a second. I had no idea what was happening. Before I even realised what I was doing, I was kissing him back, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and closed my eyes, enjoying the sensation of his lips against mine... **Sort of based on Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen**
