Deadbeat Stories

Here are some poems that I've written over the years. If I happen to write more, I'll add to the list. I usually just write poems in the form of songs now, though. Since I started playing guitar, songs seem to be just about all I write.

After 17 years, my dad decided to start being distant, he made poor decisions, he chose other people over me, he unloved me. My heart HURTS

Everyone has a friend right? Wrong. Some thought that Jamal had everything. He was the school goofball, a kid who seemed to always be happy. But inside he was hurting. He always was different from the other kids. The constant struggling going on in his life made him always on the edge of breakdown. He was a caring boy, but it seemed as though no one cared about him. His step father was the main issue in his life. He made him feel like he was nothing less than a piece of garbage. He thought the world was against him until something happened. Will Jamal stand up and stop the stress in his life or will he crack under pressure?

Getting Out is about a girl who has depression and bipolar issues. She is abused and used, but is getting tired of it and trying to get out. Her boyfriend michael is helping all he can. But, is his help enough?

When I was younger I had my own superhero, my mama. She could do anything and fixed any problem that life threw at her. Mama's biggest problem was my father. The man was colder than ice. He was your stereotypical billionaire. He never loved me or my mama. He only married her for his public image and continued to date his "True love". Once the love of his life had a kid he married her as a second wife. That's when the mistreatment started. Whenever mama wasn't around wife no.2 would treat me poorly and even get me in trouble with my father. This carried on for years until she finally left and took me with her. That's when life started looking up. But life never really liked mama. (Cover is from google)

Under the cover of night a boy seeks out his father, resulting in an emotional confrontation. This is a oneshot short story (my first one ever actually) and I would really appreciate any feedback! I hope you enjoy and I look forward to writing more. I might add a part two (which would be an insight into the past relationship between the two but I am unsure as of right now.)
