This is a letter to all the beautiful broken souls out there, to every girl whose dad was the first man to break her heart, every girl with a deadbeat father. I'm writing this with a heavy heart in hopes that it would help me to finally let go and start healing for we are a broken family.

Jane Daniels is about to enter her sophomore year of college when her father decides to uproot the family and move them from New York to the small town in Maine where he grew up. With her parents starting new jobs and a sister on a verge of a breakup exhibiting more emotional ups and downs than a character in a soap opera, it looks as if Jane will be spending most of her summer trying to make the most of it by herself. All that is changed when she meets Logan Hale. Logan Hale is trying to leave the past of his young, wild days behind him while supporting both himself and his addict father. He has no plans to leave the small town life he's grown up in and believes he never will. When these two meet, it begins a summer full of the craziest adventures, stories, and love that they'll never forget.

Here are some poems that I've written over the years. If I happen to write more, I'll add to the list. I usually just write poems in the form of songs now, though. Since I started playing guitar, songs seem to be just about all I write.

It's just a poem about me losing my dad... to drugs and whores when I was a little girl. I didn't really realize what he was doing at the time... but taking how I felt then and adding what I know now, I've come up with this.
