A modern recast of the 1959 tragedy that unraveled at Welton Academy. For Todd Anderson, the tail end of junior year at Welton Academy is trudging by like weary wheels. Since the departure of his beloved teacher, the expulsion of his friend, the disbandment of the Dead Poets Society--the catalyst of his joy--and...the death of a significant boy, a marrow of life seemed to be sucked out of Todd. As summer approaches, Todd, like the other Welton boys, are gearing up for two months of enrichment activities which includes summer classes, rowing, community service, and God knows what else that will hopefully get him a leg up when he applies to the Ivy League. When he finds a book on Neil's bed, a note slips out of the book, inviting him to journey--and alter-- the past.
