Isabelle has spent her whole life moving house to house, family to family, school to school while in the foster care system. Through it all, she has stuck by one rule: don't get close to anyone. She can't risk letting herself believe that life can get better only for it to fall apart again. But in a strange turn of events, Isabelle finds herself adopted by the cast of the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen and is given the opportunity the change her life for the better. Will Isabelle let the DEH cast help her, or will she push them away like she's done her whole life? TRIGGER WARNING: This story might include mentions of suicide, self harm, depression, and anxiety. Evan Hansen, a timid boy from District 11 with social anxiety. Connor Murphy, a grumpy, mysterious boy from District 4 who is disliked and rejected. The Hunger Games, an event initiated by the Capital, pits twenty-four children against each other in an arena until only one remains. Two boys who had never met before met on a train bound for the capital. How are they supposed to survive? Warning: Scenes of violence and suicide.

Alex and Connor became friends in time out when in 2nd grade. By senior year, Alex was in jazz band and had a 3.9 GPA. Connor on the other hand, put the high in school and couldn't get through a month without getting a detention. (His record was 3 weeks and 2 days.) Yet they're still friends, for now at least.
