Stahma was simply trying to find her son and daughter-in-law before she went into labor. it was too late as she was discovered by rebels after she had already given birth to Luke. She had hidden him just in time for the rebels to storm their hut. Stahma, upon seeing Christie's flat belly, immediately knew her grandson was here and must be saved. With tears in both of their eyes they knew what had to be done for the rebels to move on without searching the house. Alak was just outside the window and witnessed it all. After going through multiple other hardships he was able to finally return home to Defiance. This story is set 2 years after his return home. When his friend/housekeeper finally convinces him to move on and find happiness. As that is what Christie would have wanted. Little did he know his toddler would help him do so. ***This is a fanfic (basically) from a show that aired on Syfy but after 3 seasons was cancelled. It is my absolute favorite show and I always wanted Alak to find happiness again because he deserved it. I will explain certain things before the first chapter that way those who have never seen the show will understand certain things. I hope you enjoy**
