ONC2025 Round 2 winner, Ambassador Pick and Long List Selection Entry based on Prompt 110. 20 days of freedom and Prompt 77. In a world where art and entertainment are forbidden, you're born to challenge the system and change the world.

This is my second collection of poetry.

In a world where Loki, the God of Mischief, has taken over, girls have no worth. The human race is looked down upon as little more than cattle by their new ruler. Georgaina is nineteen, and she is an unusual beauty. Suffering from pancreatic cancer, the very thing that killed her mother only a year ago, she has nothing to offer the cruel Loki when he calls her father in to repay a debt. She has nothing to offer except, of course, her life. But when time comes for her to give her only valuable possession up, Loki can't find it in himself to kill the defiant, strong, and possibly crazy Georgaina. Instead, he declares her his slave. Georgaina, however, has other plans. And none of them involve surrendering to the one man who has destroyed the very world.

With the end of the world in sight, humanity's only hope lies in Earth's first warp capable starship and its payload of colonists.

So this is the second poem ill be posting hope yall like it feel free to critique it. Just make sure your critique makes sense ^~^

Imagine sitting in your tenth grade class and hearing enormous planes roar overhead. Imagine hearing your head was telling you something big and bad was about to happen. Imagine your high school being part of the school complex your eight year old sister attends also. Imagine hearing the preschoolers screaming for their lives over the screeching sounds of propellers and the metallic shrill of endless bullets raining down onto your school. Imagine the bombs dropping endlessly, but you have nowhere to go but under your desk. Imagine hearing your families scream for help under debris when all you could do was scream across the courtyard. Imagine seeing all of your loved ones dying as you peek around your desk to see what was happening. Imagine all of this happening in a matter of seconds. Some say it’s crazy, but this is every day for me. It all started with the government and its stupid laws they made about protection, security, and resources… Follow Audrey Young on her journey through pain, loss, love, and war as she fights for her rights against the government. Will she be the most successful war hero at her age of 15 or will she fail to stay alive?

This is a reckoning-a bold, burning reclamation of self. In these seven poems, the poet writes through scars and silence, with verses laced in ash, nerve, and unflinching defiance. If she digs a hole in the beach, she'll fall in it later. If she goes on a vacation, she'd forget her wallet. Despite her unfortunate events, she tries to make the best of it. That hole she fell in? Great spot for scaring people. Left her wallet at home? Great time to save money. Even when things seem to always go wrong, there's a bright side. There simply has to be. --- Might not be the best description, but it's my first book so why not give it a try :)
