I never expected that one day I will be writing my own book. Although my writing skills were terrible during middle school yet I decided to write down what is in my heart so I ended up writing around fifteen lines. I started to cohere the ideas together until I finalized my first book. When I published my book, my goal was to reach fifty readers and this would be a huge achievement in my opinion. This book talks about my adventure with anxiety, depression, overthinking and how I dealt with my ADD

We were both in our early twenties when we became friends. A perfect timing, because my heart was full and swollen, so was hers. With the help of vodka, we began spilling our secrets one by one. Our hidden wounds, our dirty laundry, our youthful ambitions—everything. QUESTIONS EXPLORED: Why am I unhappy? What is the meaning of friendship? What makes someone sexy? What is the purpose of life? Why is love so confusing? Is it wrong to be selfish? What drives you? How insecure is too insecure? Why do I feel jealous? What triggers a quarter-life crisis? Why are some girls so crazy? Why are most guys dumb? What is philanthropy? What do we owe to homeless people? What should we do about loneliness? Injustice? Depression? What if I really, badly want to be beautiful? A girl grows up confused in life and even more so after many tragic things happen to her. As she grows, trying to figure herself out she becomes depressed contemplating suicide. Getting rejected by the closest people to her, life becomes more difficult. All while on her journey to be loved..

This story is about a teenage girl (I know, AGAIN.) who has lost her parents and has to go live with her single aunt. There's a catch. Her aunt has a son three years older than Alexa. That is our main character. She is 19, happy go lucky and that nice, quiet girl who focuses on her grades. She dresses appropriately and never swears. Her cousin, Tom Evans, is practically a criminal. He's hot, a player, does drugs and hangs with gangs. Other than that, he's a tempting and teasing guy who goes out and comes back the next day, never telling anyone. Shit hits the fan when Aunt Charlotte gets into a car accident and ends up at the hospital in a coma. Alexa changes and so does Tom. Things happen. They get close but can't get too close due to being cousins. Secrets are revealed, opening doors but also closing some. #ProjectWomanUp
