With the charming Finnick Odair as her mentor, she knows she has to fight, she has to live for her brother and herself. Reef also finds herself falling for her mentor, and maybe he sees something in her as well. But that is the least of her problems as she thinks hard about her strategies to win the games. With the arenas always changing, no matter how much she hates to be associated as one, Reef must think and train like a career if she truly wishes to win. That is, until a certain district reaches out for an alliance. If she survives the Hunger Games, will she be able to help Katniss in her efforts against the Capital? Vivienne Monroe, who has a traumatic and hateful connection to the capitol got chosen for the 69th Hunger Games. To represent District 4 she gets Finnick Odair, as her mentor. Finnick sees himself in Vivienne as she gets used by the Capitol the same way he does. Maybe these games will change everything...
