"I didn't come to your Citadel to serve, High Lady. I came to watch it melt." Elara is a daughter of the sun-lands, a political prisoner sent to the obsidian spires of Aethelgard as part of the Silver Tithe. Her mission is simple: find the High Lady's weakness and burn her empire to the ground. But High Lady Lyra is not the mindless monster the legends promised. She is cold, calculating, and devastatingly beautiful. When Lyra chooses Elara as her personal shadow, a lethal game of cat-and-mouse begins. Amidst the blue-flamed halls and whispered court treasons, Elara discovers that the only thing more dangerous than Lyra's frost is the heat of her gaze. In a world where winter never ends, loving the enemy is the ultimate betrayal.

The night Maelys was born, a storm made a decision for her. A desperate woman, a coerced midwife, and a courtyard where someone died in the rain conspired to place one infant in a palace and erase another from the record entirely. Twenty-two years later, someone has come to unmake it, and she has twenty-two years of righteous fury, a powerful patron, and the specific weapon of a truth that supports multiple stories at once. Raised in the painted corridors and orange-blossom courtyards of Solenir Palace, Maelys knows how to read a room before she enters it, how to wear humor like armor over something more serious underneath, and how to survive in a court that admires her with one hand and doubts her with the other. She has been exceptional here her entire life. She knows what exceptions are for. When the girl she unknowingly replaced arrives with documents, damage, and the kind of righteous anger that is the most dangerous kind because it is not entirely wrong, nothing careful is enough anymore. With a conspiracy threading through the court's most elegant rooms, a bodyguard who has been keeping a report in a locked box for eight years waiting for the right person to receive it, and a crown prince who asks before he touches and is not without fault and is learning the difference between those two facts, Maelys must fight for her name, her life, and the identity she has spent twenty-two years choosing rather than receiving. This is a slow burn interracial historical romance with explicit intimacy, graphic violence, and a world that does not soften its edges for the comfort of anyone in it. It is a story about what is owed and what is chosen, about love as a continuous practice rather than a destination, about darkness that stays and is carried rather than resolved, and about a woman who refuses, repeatedly, in every room that tries to define her, to let anyone else decide who she is. Dark. Tender. Permanent. Earned. ©️ _RelleLebby_ // R. L.

Living in Justin Flaherty's mind has never been easy. Unfortunately, things are about to get much worse... At eighteen years old, most guys are chasing girls or dreams. Justin, on the other hand, wants to draw and be left alone. He's been diagnosed with schizophrenia, but it's more than that. He's in tune with the Dark Energy that surrounds us all, and can see how it controls people's actions. Sometimes, the Dark Energy will give him visions, to help him on the road to enlightenment. When his mother hooks up with a Baptist preacher named David who believes Justin's schizophrenia can be cured with prayer, Justin knows he has to get out-or risk involuntary commitment in a religious facility. After a brush with incarceration, Justin takes off to San Francisco, where his drawings are not just noticed, but admired... Justin's bizarre and beautiful drawings create a stir in the art world. Meanwhile, he's homeless, couch surfing, and trapped in a continuous battle with his mental illness. His salvation is a girl named Liria Czetski with a shady past. They'd met a year ago, and she's appeared in his visions ever since. It turns out Liria has been sharing those visions, something that is a surprise to everyone but Justin... When secrets surface, Justin is forced to realize that being a genius has a downside. Surrounded by people who want to exploit his talent, he must fight not only for his career and freedom, but perhaps for his life... All that glitters is not gold. Annabelle Edward Stone moves from Charleston, South Carolina to Manhattan and takes charge of her life. Wanting to see the world all by herself and without the support of her overprotective parents, Anna meets people and makes friends, but what got the best of her attention was James. She was totally head over heels for him and was attracted to him at once. What bothered her most was the mysterious aura of James and that he is hiding something, and she was determined to know what it was. Little does she know, that some things are better undiscovered and not loved. #95 in mystery/thriller genre [Ugh I am too bad at writing descriptions I guess, please don't judge the book by its cover, or in this case the description and the cover both. I would try to improve it soon]

#272 in teen fiction {june 26 '16} ×× Protagonist - Eva Antagonist - Life as we know it ∆ It was a hour long drive from the airport to our new house. I always found car rides really horribly boring and unbearable. The constant honking, the bumps on the road, the whirr of the engine - it's the absolute recipe for 'Not Being Able To Sleep.' And that my friends is the major reason behind why I despise car rides - because I don't get to sleep. No matter how hard I try, no matter how I position my back or body or arms, no matter how sleepy or tired I am, no matter how soothing the music is - I'm never able to sleep during car rides. Also - claustrophobia. And a closed moving vehicle that makes me feel uneasy and trapped is a nightmare at the least. Add to that, it being midnight when our plane landed, meaning I had to spend the peak of my sleeping hours awake (in the moving thing) and you get an overly annoyed and cranky Eva. ∆ #346 in teen fiction {June 25 2016} © 2016

Highly recommended." -Grady Harp, Top 100 Amazon Hall of Fame Reviewer The first two chapters are here at Wattpad, now revised as they appear in the published book.
