After the first 6 months the marriage went south. Griffin had become abusive hitting Dixie once a day sometimes more, every day. Griffin had become physically, emotionally, and mentally abusive. He would make Dixie do things she didn't want to do but wouldn't say no because that was her husband. Dixie wanted to but couldn't divorce Griffin. She has no money, nowhere to go. She had to stay with him. Dixie felt trapped with nowhere to go. Until she met Noah Beck.

Ever since Dixie and Noah became public with their relationship, I could not get the parallels of their romance and the Taylor Swift song "Gorgeous" out of my head. This imagery took hold of my brain and blossomed into a tale inspired by the entire "reputation" album.
